Why Buy a Used Diesel Truck?
A diesel earns its keep the moment you hook onto something heavy. Where a gas half-ton is working hard, a 3/4- or 1-ton diesel is barely breathing — 650 to 1,200 lb-ft of torque means you pull a loaded gooseneck up Bogus Basin Road or haul hay out of Marsing without the engine screaming. They also last. A well-maintained Power Stroke, Cummins, or Duramax routinely runs past 300,000 miles, which is exactly why buying used makes sense: someone else took the depreciation hit while the drivetrain still has most of its life left.
Work Trucks, Tow Rigs and Weekend Builds
Not every diesel buyer needs the same truck. Contractors working Nampa and Meridian jobsites want an XL crew cab with a flatbed and a clean service history. Ranchers want a dually with GVWR up to 14,000 pounds and a gooseneck ball already in the bed. Somebody hauling a side-by-side to Bruneau Dunes wants a Lariat with heated seats and Apple CarPlay for the drive out. We stock all three — long beds, mega cabs, extended cabs, flatbeds, even the occasional crane truck. And if you want a diesel built to actually go where the pavement stops, ask about our Crawler™ builds: real lockers front and rear, Fox shocks, Yukon gears, and ReadyLift suspension.
